Moosehead Historical Society Facts

Collections:
The main house holds temporary and permanent exhibits with materials from the Civil War to post-WWII topics. The temporary exhibits tend to rotate annually. In the carriage house are exhibits on local Native American artifacts and boating on Moosehead Lake. The Lumberman's Museum is also in the carriage house. This display represents the history of the region's tradition of logging.

Facilities:
The main holding of the Moosehead Historical Society is a 1899 Victorian mansion, known now as the Eveleth-Crafts-Sheridan House. There is an associated carriage house and the lands, which included a sunken garden. The carriage house include a library, gift shop, office space and storage and display room. The Lumberman's Museum is also in the carriage house.
